Our BusinessCefndy Healthcare was originally formed in 1976 as "Cefndy Enterprises" by the then Clwyd County Council.
Some 30 years on, Cefndy now services the healthcare industry both home and abroad. Its business is the manufacture and supply of Aids to Daily Living.
Cefndy is still linked to Denbighshire County Council by virtue of its status as a provider of meaningful employment for disabled people.
Its Day to Day Business
Cefndy's factory offers full manufacturing, from raw steel components,
bending, welding, pressing, powder coating, assembly, upholstery and
final despatch.
Cefndy now has a workforce of 53 (this combines both the physically
able and disabled). The organisation is headed by General Manager,
Deborah Holmes-Langstone.
In the last 10 years Cefndy's focus has been on greater promotional activity and it has achieved an enviable position in the UK market within the healthcare industry.
Cefndy Healthcare is committed to continuous improvement and quality manufacture. Cefndy holds the BS EN ISO 9001:2008 certification Quality Accreditation.
Its Dedication to Customer Service and Innovation
Cefndy's greatest asset is the intangible - its customer service and the loyalty of its customer-base. Cefndy is no longer regarded as just another manufacturer, but also a resource for information and advice.
There has been a pro-active approach to new product development throughout the last 10 years and this continues with the constant reference to professionals and clinicians who are experts in their fields.
Cefndy aims to resolve problems of supply that are currently not being addressed.
Its Market Place ...
Cefndy operates both nationally and internationally and is a recognised force within the healthcare marketplace.
Its domestic core business is the Community Loans service within the NHS and also Local Authority Social Services Departments, as well as key distributors throughout the UK.
The focus on employment for the less-able (which was the original impetus for Cefndy's creation) is still a fundamental part of what Cefndy is about today. This is now mirrored however by its commercial focus which is now equally dominant.
Mission Statement
"This organisation is dedicated to the task of creating, meaningful well paid employment for disabled members of the local community. It will achieve this by making Cefndy Healthcare a commercially viable business and by encouraging and training its staff to maximise their potential to ensure that they fully participate in the running of the business at every level."
Just A Thought ...
I May Be Blind, But I Can See
The Contempt Employers Have For Me
I May Be Deaf, But I Can Hear
"A Health And Safety Issue Here"
Mental Health, Wheelchairs And Depression
Give Employers One Impression
Got No Use, No Ability
All Because Of A Disability
I Want A Job, A Life And A Chance
But I Don't Get A Second Glance
I'm Viewed As Ill Or Incomplete
All I Need Is A Chance To Compete
What I Want, I See As My Right
So Why Does It Always End Up A Fight?
I Want An Interview, Not A Job On A Plate
A Life On Benefits Can't Be My Fate!
I Don't Want Sympathy, Pity Or Sorrow
Just That You Read This .. And Hopefully Tomorrow
You Will Awake To A Bright New Age
And Allow Me Access To Earning A Wage
Our Life Can Change In The Blink Of An Eye
But We Must Move On, Not Sit And Cry
I Hope Each Day, That You'll Be Fine
And Stay In Your World, Not Enter Mine
